A passion for powersports. A place made for adventure.

Can-Am Experience brings together hands-on vehicle knowledge and a distinctive high-country setting in Cardrona, between Queenstown and Wānaka.

From supplying the machines to sharing the experience.

Can-Am Experience is part of Action Sports Experiences, the adventure offering from Action Sports Direct.

Established in New Zealand in 2007, Action Sports Direct has built its business around powersports, with outlets in both the North and South Islands. Our owners and directors bring extensive experience from the industry in New Zealand and the United States.

Creating Can-Am Experience was an opportunity to share that enthusiasm in a different way: by putting guests behind the wheel and introducing them to what these vehicles can do.

Robrosa Station provides the setting. Its valley-floor tracks and high-country terrain allow us to offer everything from a first introduction to Can-Am driving to a private day exploring the mountains.

Confidence comes before progression.

We begin by getting to know the people joining us.

After registration and equipment fitting, you’ll meet your guide for a briefing and vehicle introduction. Time on the training loop helps you become familiar with the controls, followed by individual checks before you move onto more demanding terrain.

Throughout the experience, our guides consider your capability, the group’s progress and the conditions. Routes and vehicle settings are adjusted accordingly.

You bring your curiosity and willingness to learn. We bring the preparation, guidance and knowledge of the place.

Meet the Can-Am Maverick X3.

Our two-seat Can-Am Maverick X3 buggies give drivers and passengers a close connection with the terrain.

Vehicles are equipped with rollover protection structures, four-point retractable harnesses and safety netting. Power settings are adapted to the activity and driver capability, while guide vehicles carry additional communication, recovery and emergency equipment.

We provide helmets, goggles and protective overalls, with clear advice on what to wear and bring.

Guests in a working landscape.

Robrosa Station is an active sheep and cattle station, and our experiences operate alongside its farming activities.

The routes available to us change with the seasons, weather and work taking place on the land. Respecting those conditions is part of how we operate, and part of what makes the experience feel connected to the high country.
